Digital Transformation Centre (DTC) – Free Digital Skills Training in Uganda

The Digital Transformation Centre (DTC) at UICT is a national initiative aimed at strengthening digital skills and digital literacy in Uganda. Implemented under the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance, the DTC programme provides free basic and intermediate digital skills training to citizens across the country.

Through a nationwide network of 95 Digital Transformation Centres, UICT delivers practical ICT training designed to empower youth, women, persons with disabilities (PWDs), entrepreneurs, small businesses, and rural communities with the skills needed to participate in today’s digital economy.
The programme is delivered in partnership with global technology leaders including Cisco Networking Academy, HP LIFE, and the STMicroelectronics Foundation, enabling participants to access internationally recognized certifications and industry-relevant digital skills training.

Participants gain hands-on knowledge in areas such as digital awareness, cybersecurity, entrepreneurship, networking, data analytics, digital business skills, and the use of computers and mobile devices.
By expanding access to digital education, the UICT Digital Transformation Centre initiative promotes digital inclusion, employability, entrepreneurship, and safe participation in the digital economy, contributing to Uganda’s vision of a digitally empowered society.
