UCC’s Strategic Direction
As Uganda endeavours to position itself within the global digital economy, the pursuit of UICT’s mandate, as outlined in section 5 (w) of the Uganda Communications Act, 2013, to operate and manage the institute is bolstered by the steadfast support of the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC). This support is instrumental in facilitating UICT’s contribution to the national digital transformation program, aimed at bridging the Ugandan digital divide, addressing the shortage of skilled ICT workforce, fostering job creation, and mitigating skills inadequacies within the ICT sector. By aiding UICT in enhancing its capacity, UCC indirectly facilitates ICT universal access, thereby promoting digital citizenship among citizens.
UCC’s ongoing support encompasses the augmentation of UICT’s teaching, learning, research, and innovation facilities, in alignment with the institute’s mandate to provide ICT skills-based training, conduct applied research and innovation, and https://rd-velkepavlovice.cz/ offer ICT consultancy services.
