🎯 Program Overview

This program provides foundational skills in organizing and maintaining records, filing systems, archiving, and managing databases. It equips students to handle critical administrative and information management roles using both traditional and modern technologies. The curriculum reflects best practices in governance, accountability, and digital transformation.

🎓 Course Objectives

  • Equip students with knowledge of records classification, storage, and retention.
  • Introduce digital information systems and electronic record management.
  • Ensure understanding of privacy, confidentiality, and legal compliance.

🧾 Admission Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Have successfully completed the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrate basic computer literacy and organizational skills.
  • Show interest in administrative, library, or information science careers.

Program Duration

  • 2 Academic Years (4 Semesters)
    Includes classroom training, practical assignments, internship placements, and national assessment by UVTAB.
