Diploma in Computer Technology (DCT)

Programme Overview

The Diploma in Computer Technology (DCT) is a two-year programme designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to thrive in the rapidly evolving field of computer technology. This programme focuses on both theoretical foundations and practical applications, preparing graduates for careers in computer systems, software development, and IT infrastructure.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for admission:

  1. Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE):
    • At least 1 principal pass in Mathematics or Physics and 2 subsidiary passes.
    • At least a credit in Mathematics or Physics and 4 other passes at O’Level.
  2. Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE):
    • At least 3 credits, one of which should be in Mathematics or Physics.
    • A certificate in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution (with a duration of at least 9 months).

Tuition Fees
  • Per Semester: UGX 655,000/=
  • Administrative Charges (Annually): UGX 462,000/=

Programme Duration
  • Study Period: Two years.
  • Study Modes: Day, Evening, and Weekend sessions available.
