Welcome to the official digital platforms of the Uganda Institute of Information and Communications Technology (UICT). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our websites, portals, applications, and any associated services or content (collectively referred to as the “Services”).
By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our Services.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to access our Services. By using our platform, you confirm that you meet this requirement or have parental/guardian consent where applicable.
2. Use of Services
You agree to use UICT’s digital platforms only for lawful educational, administrative, and institutional purposes. You shall not:

All users must adhere to the highest standards of academic honesty. Plagiarism, impersonation, falsification of information, and exam misconduct are strictly prohibited and subject to disciplinary action.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on UICT platforms — including logos, course materials, documents, media, code, and trademarks — is the property of UICT or its licensors and is protected under intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or use content without explicit written permission unless allowed under fair use or educational exemptions.
6. Third-Party Services
Our platforms may contain links to or integrations with third-party services (e.g., payment processors, cloud storage, external learning tools). UICT is not responsible for the content, privacy, or practices of these third parties.
7. Privacy
Your use of our Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We are committed to protecting your data and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
8. Service Availability
UICT strives to maintain uninterrupted access to its Services. However, we do not guarantee continuous uptime, and we may suspend access temporarily for maintenance, upgrades, or security reasons without prior notice.
9. Termination
UICT reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your access to Services if you violate these Terms, misuse the platform, or engage in conduct detrimental to the institution or other users.

UICT and its staff shall not be held liable for:

12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of competent Ugandan courts.
